When I shoot on film, something shifts — for me and for you. There's no chimping the screen after every shot, no rapid-fire bursts. Just presence. I move slower, I watch more carefully, and I wait for the moment that's actually worth capturing. Couples feel this. The day feels calmer. More like it's really happening, less like a production.

Film captures light the way your eye does — the warmth on your skin, the softness of golden hour, the grain that makes a photograph feel alive. There's a quality to it that can't be manufactured in post — and it only grows more beautiful with time.

What's included in every wedding collection?

My presence for the full coverage of your collection, professional film processing at Carmencita Film Lab, a curated and fully edited online gallery within eight weeks, high-resolution images with printing rights, and travel throughout Catalonia. The Mediterranean Collection adds travel across Spain, a second photographer, in-person venue scouting and an engagement session.

How many photographers will be at our wedding?

For the Intimate and Signature collections I photograph alone, which keeps the day quiet and gives you my full attention. From the Mediterranean Collection upward, a second professional film photographer works alongside me.

Why does film wedding photography cost more than digital?

Shooting on film is a fundamentally different approach — slower, more intentional, more present. There's no chimping the screen after every frame, no thousand-image burst to sort through later. You get fewer images, but every one was a decision, not an accident. That's the actual cost driver: not the film stock itself, but a completely different way of working the whole day. The result is photographs that hold up in thirty years the way a snapshot never will.

How many weddings do you photograph per year?

Never more than fifteen. This isn't marketing — it's how I work. Each couple I take on gets my complete creative attention: from the first conversation to final delivery. Limiting my calendar is what makes that possible.

Do you travel outside Barcelona and Spain?

Yes — I'm a destination photographer at heart. Travel throughout Catalonia is included in the Intimate and Signature collections. The Mediterranean collection covers all of Spain — including Mallorca, Costa Brava, and Andalusia — and the Destination Europe collection includes travel across the continent.

When should I book, and how does the process work?

Saturday dates in July and August typically book 14–18 months in advance. Spring and early autumn dates go 10–12 months out. If you have a date in mind, the sooner we speak the better. The process is simple: you fill in the enquiry form, I reply within 24 hours, we have a short call or exchange to make sure we're a good fit, and a retainer and signed agreement secure your date. Your retainer is fully applied to your collection investment, and payment plans are available for bookings made eight or more months in advance.

What if our wedding is small — just the two of us?

Elopements are some of my favourite days to photograph. The Intimate Collection, for elopements and celebrations of up to 20 guests, is from €4,000.

Can we meet before booking?

Of course. I encourage it. Most couples find a short video call helpful — it gives you a feel for how I work, and gives me a chance to understand your vision properly. Send me a message and we'll arrange a time that works for you.

Could our wedding be featured in a publication?

While publication isn't guaranteed, many of my weddings with distinctive styling are submitted to publications like Wedding Sparrow and Style Me Pretty — and a good number have been featured. All of my work is created to editorial quality standards, which means your images will always be worthy of a magazine page, whether or not they appear in one.
