What makes film photography special for weddings?

Film photography creates a timeless, organic aesthetic with unparalleled depth, natural skin tones, and a luminous quality that digital often tries to replicate. Each frame is intentionally composed, resulting in authentic moments captured with remarkable richness and dimension—perfect for the romantic landscapes and golden light of Spanish wedding venues.

Do you shoot only film or a combination of film and digital?

I specialize in a hybrid approach, blending medium format film for portraits and key moments with professional digital photography for fast-moving reception moments and low-light situations. This provides you with the best of both worlds—the timeless aesthetic of film with the versatility of digital. The engagement and intimate sessions are  usually covered on 100% film.

Will we still receive digital files of our images?

Yes — all collections include high-resolution digital images delivered through a private online gallery. Your film is professionally developed, scanned, and digitised at a premier European lab to ensure consistent quality across every image.

What types of film do you use and how does this affect the final look of our images?

I work primarily with Kodak Portra 400 and Portra 800 for colour — both chosen for how they handle Mediterranean light, rendering soft pastels, warm skin tones, and luminous highlights that suit Spain's coastal venues and golden hours. For black and white, I use Ilford Delta for its depth and timeless elegance. Every roll is selected based on your venue, the season, and the quality of light on the day.

What sets you apart from other wedding photographers?

A decade of shooting on film, in Spain, for destination couples. My approach is editorial but never staged — I direct with a light touch and document the rest. The result is images that look considered and feel real. My work has been featured in Wedding Sparrow, Style Me Pretty, and French Wedding Style, and I accept no more than fifteen weddings per year so every couple gets my full creative attention.

How many photographers will be at our wedding?

The Signature and Luxe Collections include a second photographer to ensure comprehensive coverage. For weddings with over 50 guests, I strongly recommend having a second photographer regardless of which collection you choose.

Do you photograph destination weddings across Spain?

Yes — Spain is home. I've photographed weddings in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, Madrid's grand estates, Mallorca's clifftop venues, Marbella's beachfront villas, and Andalusia's olive groves. Spain's light — particularly in spring and autumn — is exceptional for film, and I know the country's best locations and lighting conditions intimately.

What is your workflow for destination weddings in Spain?

For weddings in Spain and in Europe I typically arrive 1-2 days before your celebration to scout the location in ideal lighting conditions. If you're having a welcome dinner or rehearsal, I can attend to familiarize myself with the venue and key family members. This preparation ensures we maximize the beautiful light and architectural elements on your wedding day.

What is the investment for wedding photography in Spain?

Collections start from €2,800 for intimate elopements and small celebrations. Most couples invest between €3,500–€5,500 for full-day coverage. Every collection includes professional film processing at premier European labs, a curated online gallery, and travel throughout Spain.

How soon after the wedding can we see our photos?

You'll receive preview images within 7 days of your wedding (or within 24-48 hours with the Signature and Luxe Collections). Your complete gallery will be delivered within 8-10 weeks, depending on the wedding season.

Will our photos be retouched?

All images receive professional editing for color, tone, and minor retouching. For specific extensive retouching requests, additional fees may apply depending on the complexity.

Do you photograph pre-wedding events and engagement sessions in Spain?

Absolutely! Capturing your welcome events and engagement session is a wonderful way to document your entire Spanish wedding journey. These relaxed sessions allow us to discover your most flattering angles and natural interactions, creating gorgeous portraits while helping you feel completely at ease before your wedding day. Many couples tell me their engagement session was not only a beautiful experience in itself, but also invaluable preparation that made their wedding portraits flow effortlessly.

Do you offer video services alongside photography?

Yes, I offer Super 8 Film Video as an exclusive add-on. This nostalgic, cinematic format perfectly complements film photography for a cohesive aesthetic. The package includes editing and digital delivery of the final video.

Can we get content specifically for social media?

Absolutely! My Content Creator add-on provides a social media-savvy assistant to capture behind-the-scenes clips, reels, and photos during your celebration, with curated content delivered within 24-48 hours—perfect for sharing your Spanish celebration with friends and family who couldn't attend.
