Mallorca in summer — salt on your skin, the water impossibly clear, the kind of afternoon that doesn't need a plan.
Kori and Andreu met me at a quiet cove on the island's eastern coast — one of those beaches you only find if someone who lives here tells you about it. No crowds, no umbrellas, just turquoise water against warm rock and the Mediterranean doing what it does in July: making everything golden.
We spent an hour and a half walking along the shoreline, sitting on the rocks, wading into the shallows. No posing, no direction — just two people completely at ease with each other and a place that made it easy. I shot the whole session on Portra 400 and the results are exactly why I keep coming back to Mallorca with film: the water, the light on skin, the warmth in the shadows between the rocks. Digital would have made it look like a holiday ad. Film made it look like a memory.
